Logo and business card design for Fire Ground Review
When we begin to develop a website, creating a logo is an integral piece of the design puzzle. Fire Ground Review owner Mark Lawry had definite ideas about the look and feel of his logo. His design ideas included using the IAFF outline and colors, integrating the initials “FGR,” and including the three words in the company name. Something was missing, since the bottom “leaf” was empty, so we added, “est. 2009″ and voila! the logo was ready to incorporate into the new site and business cards.

An important aspect of Lawry’s company is that his services “save lives, money, and time.” However, the company catch phrase is “adopting a culture of continuous learning.” One small card with logo, contact information and TWO phrases looked busy and confusing. Rick decided to add a black bar at the bottom to separate and emphasize the catchphrase. The result was a neat divider that also highlighted the Fire Ground Review philosophy.
